Dunlop vs Talalay Latex
Dunlop and Talalay are manufacturing processes for latex foam. They can create different cell structures and feels, but firmness and formulation still matter.
Dunlop
Dunlop processing generally produces a denser, substantial latex foam and is widely used in natural and organic mattresses. Signature Bliss uses GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex.
Talalay
Talalay processing adds vacuum and freezing steps before vulcanization, often producing a more consistent, airy foam. Talalay is commonly used in comfort layers where a lively, plush feel is desired.
Do not choose by process alone
A soft Dunlop layer can feel softer than a firm Talalay layer. Compare actual firmness, thickness and placement in the mattress.
