What Is a Latex Hybrid Mattress?

A latex hybrid usually uses latex in the comfort system and pocketed coils in the support core. It is “hybrid” because it combines different support technologies rather than building the whole mattress from latex.

Typical layer stack

Why people choose them

Latex provides quick responsiveness and buoyant cushioning, while coils can add airflow, edge structure and a familiar spring-supported feel.

What varies between models

Latex thickness, firmness, processing method, certification, coil zoning and mattress height vary widely. Two latex hybrids can feel very different.
