Pillowtop and Euro top describe how an added comfort section is finished at the top of a mattress. They do not, by themselves, tell you the material, firmness or quality.

Pillowtop

A traditional pillowtop often appears as a distinct, gusseted layer sitting above the mattress body, with a visible seam or indentation around its base.

Euro top

A Euro top is usually sewn more flush with the mattress edges, creating a cleaner, more integrated profile.
